So, as expected, I have been terrible about keeping this blog updated, which I don’t think is too much of a problem, since I would be shocked if anyone is actually reading it. Still, if you are, you’ll be excited to know (I’m sure) that Book 2 in the confession trilogy will be coming out in the next month or so. It came out really well, and I’m looking forward to people reading it!

Sales are going great! At one point, I almost cracked the 10,000th best selling item in the Kindle Store, so not too bad! Thanks so much to everyone who is buying the book. The link on the left is live! You can now buy Children of the Deep for $0.99.

If you would like to support the book, of course the first and best thing you can do is just buy it. After that, reading it would be awesome! Writing a great review on Amazon.com would be even better, and best of all, telling all your friends about it, and getting them to read it too.

Everything has been uploaded for the first book!

I have finished uploading everything needed to Amazon. It turns out that the review process for works in English is only about 12 hours, so everything should be available tomorrow! Right now, the Amazon link on the left only goes to Amazon.com, but once the book is available, we’ll switch it to the book specific site.

The First Post

After a year and a half, I am in the final stages of publishing my new novel, Children of the Deep, through Kindle self-publishing. It’s been a long process, and when I think back on it, it kind of blows my mind. I’m pretty sure I’ve never spent so much time on a single project in my life. It’s going to be awesome having people read my work.

As far as this blog, I’m planning to post as often as I can. If there’s no new book news, I might just post about stuff going on in my life, or talk about writing in general. It’s funny, I always considered myself a complete amateur, and while that’s still basically true, after writing my author bio I realized I am starting to get some experience, and it might be fun to share that.

On to the book news: As I said, I’m in the final stages of getting my first book published on the Kindle, and it is stressing me out. First, as I was reading through the information I had downloaded and read two months ago originally, I learned/remembered that there would a be a two day delay while Amazon checked to make sure everything is okay with my work (no copyrighted or offensive material), which kind of stinks. I had hoped it would be available today, Saturday. On top of that, the optimal cover image dimensions I picked up from somewhere turned out to be wrong. Good thing I read the Kindle help files before publishing. So I sent a frantic email off to Jon (Jonathan Braucher, cover image designer, website designer, all around good guy) and he graciously offered to re-size the image.

Even with these delays though, it’s kind of hard to believe that it’s all finally happening. I’ll post again when I upload everything to Kindle, and then again when the book is actually available.
